The organization hosts a few events throughout the year as well as participate in events other organizations host. here you will find pictures of all events The Bear Den both hosts and participate in, newest to oldest.
Christmas 2021 "Cozy Christmas Eve."
The first of many to come PJ event With the help of many in the community 48 signed up children received a new pair of PJ's, fuzzy socks, a new movie, and snacks. The local library let the us set up as the pick up location where families could pick up their packages. So many little smiling faces! We also went out into the woods with permits from Lake of the Woods to cut down then deliver 2 fresh trees to two families.
Thanksgiving 2021"Homeless Feed"With the help of the community The Bear Den was able to deliver a full turkey with all the trimmings and desert to two families as well as prepare a large meal making 60 individual meals with desert that were handed out to the local homeless and delivered to a few peoples homes who needed a hot meal In special hand made reusable totes.
Halloween 2021"Costume Crypt"
A fun event for local kids with a great selection of costumes, accessories, and makeup to choose from. A local grower donated many pumpkins. Even if they didn't find a costume for themselves no child left empty handed as they got to pick from a trick-or-treat bag or bucket with treats in it.
Easter 2021
As the last event on the coast it was open to the public, with over 350 people coming by through out the day it was the biggest most amazing event! With lunch, snacks, activities, egg hunt, and the Easter Bunny hanging out. Couple very lucky kids found the "golden eggs" with cash inside! There were 76 baskets for signed up kids plus over 40 baskets made on site for kids who came to the event.
Christmas 2020
Thanks to the amazing hearts of the community The Bear Den was able to sponsor four families bringing some much needed joy to their lives. Each child in the families received 3-4 wrapped gifts purchased special just for them, along with a stocking filled with goodies!
Thanksgiving 2020
Thanks to many donations from the community The Bear Den was able to sponsor 5 families for thanksgiving providing a full holiday meal plus lots of extras including food and treats for their pets.
Halloween 2020"Costume Crypt"
The first of many to come annual costume give away event for local kids who otherwise wouldn't be able to get a costume. Jason Voorhees roamed around making sure all who attended had a creepy time! There were many donated costumes and accessories for local kids to choose from, candy and snacks also as well as a local soccer game with coach Lee Blackmon.
NKN Prom 2020
Collected gently used prom attire and accessories for both girls and boys were available for a Prom closet and was a success! many nice free things for seniors of Neah-Kah-Nie High School to choose from
Easter 2020 All though Covid-19 put a damper on this years event, The Bear Den still made it happen. They couldn't have a big event with the Easter Bunny but they DID still make 54 baskets and delivered them to the doors of many local children!
Easter 2019 The first of many to come annual Easter event, April 14th The Bear Den had an amazing day of fun and smiles. The Easter Bunny was there to greet local kids. Every family took home a free 8x10 color print with the Easter Bunny. 45 baskets full of goodies were handed out.
2019 Tillamook County Homeless Connect
On January 30th The Bear Den participated in Tillamook County's event for the local homeless, they were able to help 33 families with much needed personal hygiene items.
